How We Scout Dade County's Uncommitted Recruits

Recruiting season never really ends in the 305, it just changes shape. This is how we build the board every summer: film first, then camp reps, then who the coaches are actually calling.

The tape has to hold up

Highlight reels sell. Full-game film tells the truth. Before a name goes on our board it has to survive a bad night, a good corner, and a fourth quarter.

Camps are where the gap shows

Everybody looks fast against their own district. We watch how a player competes when the cameras are off, how he handles a rep he loses, and whether he leads a huddle he was not asked to lead.

Coach interest is the tiebreaker

The quiet signal is volume of contact. When the same staff keeps circling back through the spring and into July, that tells us more than a star rating does.

What comes next

The board turns over fast once the season starts. We publish the names as the commitments land, and we are on the sideline for most of them.
